Bring your horse book to readers
Trusted Horse Press works with authors who are writing for horse owners, buyers and professionals. Every project is different, so we start with a conversation about your book and what you need.
Two ways to publish with us
Traditional
For books we take on, Trusted Horse Press covers the cost of producing and publishing the book and pays the author royalties.
Hybrid
The author and the press share the investment in the book. Terms are agreed project by project, and the book is published under the Trusted Horse Press name.
Not sure which fits your book? Tell us about it and we’ll recommend the right path.

From first message to finished book
1. Tell us about it
Send a short note or a full proposal: what the book is about, who it’s for, and where it stands today.
2. We talk options
Within two weeks we’ll get back to you about whether it’s a fit, and whether traditional or hybrid publishing makes more sense.
3. We make the book
Together we take it from manuscript to a finished book readers can hold, download and trust.
What to send us
A complete proposal helps us give you a useful answer. Please include:
- A short introduction: who you are and why you are the right person to write this book
- Who the book is for
- An outline or table of contents
- One to three sample chapters, or the full manuscript if it is finished
- Your plans for photos, drawings or charts
- How you plan to help readers find the book once it is out
- Whether you have sent the proposal to other publishers
We reply to every proposal within two weeks.
Tell us about your book
Email your proposal, or a few lines to start the conversation: the working title, the topic, who it’s written for, and how far along it is.
